A Tribute to Our
"MIRACLE PUP"

A full two days after she had whelped her entire litter,
Mia delivered a little black pup...
I just happened to be standing there to witness this miracle.
While still in the sac, this fiesty little pup was kicking and yelping.
I rubbed her down thinking she'd need help to stay alive,
but amazingly, this little gal was FULL of life!

She squirmed and wriggled in my hands like a wild cat...
so I put her down near her litter mates, already two days her senior.

She shoved her way past the other pups to nurse.
All I could say is "to God be the glory!"  So, that became her name.

Glory entered this world with fight and fire and
she lived every day the same way.
She was the first pup to retrieve,
the first to make fast water entries and
the most bull-headed and tenacious little pup we've ever seen.

She was faster than all the other pups and ALWAYS into something!
Not intimidated by anything, she'd wrestle with the 'big boys' to steal their toys and chewies.  And she was the pride of her daddy, Rocky's Chocolate Sergeant.
Sarge might growl at the antics of the other pups,
but never at Glory!

Unfortunately, one fateful day, Glory disappeared...
never to be seen again.  She was barely six weeks old.

Every creation made by the hand of God is a gift to be celebrated.
Glory was an extra special gift.
We thank God for the days He gave us to enjoy her,
short as they may have been.

Glory's life leaves us with a lesson and a legacy -
Life is to measured by the QUALITY,
not the quantity, of one's days.
